Mind about Fashion


Using an evidence-base to derive deep insights and data-driven predictions, my work is concerned with empowering professionals and students from a range of disciplines to integrate knowledge from psychology and fashion to build a greater understanding of human behaviour across all contexts within the fashion industry.

Prof Carolyn Mair PhD


Prof Carolyn Mair PhD is a freelance consultant to industry and education. A Chartered Fellow of the British Psychological Society based in London, Carolyn’s work is concerned with using fashion and clothing as a vehicle for making a positive difference. She was Professor of Psychology for Fashion at University of the Arts London where she created and led the world’s first Masters programmes to apply psychological science in the context of fashion at London College of Fashion. This initiative was recognised nationally in 2016 when the MSc Applied Psychology in Fashion won the British Psychological Society’s prestigious Innovative Programme Award.
